The Annual Games’ Day switched to a Sunday as the SFA scheduled football fixtures on the Saturday! It was another day of profit as well as pleasure.
Bro. David Stevenson, our DoC, arranged another fine afternoon’s activities with over 50 brethren and friends joining in the fun, libations and banter. There were dominoes, carpet bowls and cards (for funzies only) with the random pairings rotating around the activities.
At the afternoon’s end, the results were:
Dominoes Champions: Jamie Gray and Iain McCarren.
Bowls Champions: Billy Logan and Keith Graham.
Our RWM Bro. Kenny Shaw presented all winners with bottles of spirits for their efforts.
Three gentlemen, who are not strangers to us, put pen to paper on Initiation forms. And two brothers signed Affiliation forms. There was also a raffle in aid of our August 2026 Aberdeen degree trip to help toward the brethren’s travel costs.
A vote of thanks was afforded to Past Master Thomas J. Campbell and his bar staff at the close of the day for all their efforts.
There being no further business, Bro. Stevenson locked up at 01:50 and everyone managed to get home safely – surprisingly in some cases!
