Thornhill 2nd Degree
On the 17th of march Bannockburn Bruce & Thistle were invited by the RWM Sam Harris to lodge Blairhoyle 792 in Thornhill to confer a fellow craft degree on one of their candidates. There were 23 in our deputation, we received a warm welcome for all at 792 and were asked to stay behind for some lodge hospitality, which was greatly received. We had an excellent night at lodge 792 and I would just like to thank the RWM and his office bearers and brethren for their generous hospitality.
On Friday the 25th
Bannockburn Bruce & Thistle 312 were invited by the RWM Alan Thomson of lodge 1259 bishopbriggs to confer a third degree on a live candidate. We had 35 brethren in our deputation what a fantastic show of support for our lodge. We received a warm welcome from all the brethren of lodge 1259 when entering their lodge room. At the start of the meeting the RWM of lodge 1259 spoke very highly of our PM Bro. John Davidson on their friendship over the years and bond between the two lodges. After carrying out the duties of a Master mason's degree, the RWM Alan Thomson presented a copy of their lodge history to myself to take back to 312 and invited the all to stay back for some lodge hospitality, which was greatly received. I would just like to thank the RWM and his office bearers and brethren of lodge 1259 for an excellent night.
