Continuing the growing frequency of our social events, local singer/songwriter Francesca Gray gave a second, outstanding evening’s entertainment today, 9 August 2025.
After the season’s last summer degree, partners and friends swelled the brethren already enjoying the harmony after a fine afternoon’s degree work.
A packed hall danced and sang the night away with Francesca belting out her signature ballads, danceable classics and singalongs. She followed up her May appearance at the club with what many said was an even better performance. Her friendly banter with the revellers and her vocal strength, particularly with ballads, had the dance floor filled from the start.
It was no surprise therefore that during his vote of thanks Bro. David Stevenson felt sure Francesca would be back soon among the Bannockburn crowd.
The evening’s momentum continued with expert local DJ ‘Mad dog’ giving a class performance of tracks that keep the merrymakers singing and dancing well into the wee sma’ oors.
Thanks to everyone involved in helping make the whole day a success from the degree team, stewards, raffle sellers, bar staff, organisers and all those who donated a raffle prize.
