Bro. Stuart Stirling was installed today, 14 June 2025, in the Dobbie Hall, Larbert, as the new Provincial Grand Master of the Province of Stirlingshire.
A Past Master of Lodge Carron No. 139 and Honorary Member of the Lodge, Bro. Stirling’s installation saw over 200 brethren attending the ceremony led by the Most Worshipful Grand Master Bro. W. Ramsay McGhee and his team.
The Lodge was represented in the columns by the RWM Bro. Richard A. Kerry, WSW Bro. Kenneth R. Shaw, WJW Bro. Derek A. Robertson, Almoner and Depute Master Bro. John Whitfield, and Past Master Bro. Derek Irvine. On Provincial duties were Bro. Thomas J. Campbell PM, DSC, Bro. Robert McAulay PM, Bro. Duncan McKinnon PM and Bro. Sam Harris PM. Bro. Clint W. Swan PM, DSC discharged his duties most excellently as Provincial Grand DOC.
Other Honorary Members with key involvements included: Past Provincial Grand Master Bro. Andrew A. McKinnon who opened the Provincial Grand Lodge and welcomed the visiting deputations from the country’s Provincial Grand Lodges and Grand Lodge. Bro. Leonard McComb was commissioned as Depute Provincial Grand Master. Bro. Reg Weston, originally a Master Mason of the Lodge, was commissioned as Substitute Provincial Grand Master.
During the ceremony Bro. McGhee thanked the outgoing Provincial Grand Master Bro. Gordon W.S. Sewell and extended best wishes and hopes for his wife’s speedy return to full health.
He spoke of the challenges the craft has been overcoming since the COVID pandemic and of his optimism for the future. In particular he cited a more professional organisation, using appropriate experts, the rise of the Young Masons and doing and promoting things that work.
After the excellent ceremony and meal, the attendees were blessed with several engaging speeches.

We wish Brother Stirling, his commissioned Officer-bearers and the Provincial Grand Lodge of Stirlingshire team all the best wishes for a successful five-year term.
