26 September saw Bro. Jack Renton be passed to the second degree.
Several members of Jack’s family were in support as was deputation of 18 from Lodge Ancient Stirling No. 30.
Conferring Master RWM Bro. James McMeechan of Lodge Ancient Stirling No. 30 and Honorary Member of our Lodge spoke of his pleasure at being able to work a degree in our fine lodge. His degree team then conducted Bro. Jack through the Fellowcraft degree.
During the ceremony Bro. Robert Hunter Past Master of Lodge Clackmannan No. 1303 and our Provincial Grand Secretary delivered the Tracing Board lecture. And Jack’s uncle, William Renton, invested him with the distinguishing badge of a Fellowcraft to mark his progress.
After the ceremony, which focuses Bro. Jack on the value of his continuing education as a man, Bro. McMeechan and our own RWM Bro. Richard A. Kerry were the first to congratulate Bro. Jack on taking his next step in freemasonry.
After the photographs, lodge harmony ensued, during which Bro. Jack gave a quality speech thanking the visitors, his proposer and seconder and the brethren for giving him such a memorable evening.
